Supporting veterans and providing no cost assistance with benefit claim work and other vital services has been the mission of the founder of this organization since 2015. 

As an Ohio-based 501 (c) (3), Alpha 11 Veteran Logistics will need to rely on generous donations and funding support from the community and local foundations to continue its mission. These funds are not guaranteed and vary from year to year.

We are excited to expand our mission to serve as many veterans as possible. Please help us support the brave men and women who serve this great Nation!

Benefit claims support

  • We connect with veterans who have questions about the status of their disability benefits or are seeking help with submitting claims. We put them in contact with the DAV National Service Officers and help them to write emails and fill out forms needed to help complete the claims process and facilitate communication. Veterans are never charged for this service, and it may take multiple meetings/phone calls to support the veteran.
  • Your donation of $60 will support one veteran through the entire claims process

Veteran Honors

  • We connect military families with full military honors services in conjunction with the 555th Honors Detachment from Wayne County. Members from Summit County travel to Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery or other surrounding counties to perform military honors.
  • Your donation of $50 will support a round trip for veterans to participate in military honors for our fallen heroes.

 

Local Veteran Advocacy

  • We attend local city council meetings to advocate for veteran issues through changes in city ordinances. Research is conducted into veteran services provided by municipalities, the percentage of veterans located in the city, and active veteran service organizations working within the community. An example of this activity has resulted in veterans receiving active-duty military prices at the local community center.
  • Your donation of $30 will support research time and meeting preparation and attendance.

State Veteran Advocacy

  • Alpha 11 is a member of the Ohio Veterans Caucus. The caucus acts as a veteran round table to inform legislators of concerns relating to veteran legislation (property tax exemption for veterans, disabled veterans license plates, veteran programs at the state level).
  • Your donation of $200 will support attendance at a veteran caucus meeting. These meetings may be held biannually or quarterly depending on the legislators.

National Veteran Advocacy

  • Yearly attendance at National veteran’s conferences and conventions is vital to ensure that the voices of the American Veterans are heard. These conferences are held by DAV, VFW, American Legion, AmVets, National Order of the Trench Rats, and Vietnam Veterans of America, just to name a few. These activities typically last one week, and require travel, hotel stays, parking, and meals.
  • Any size donation will help offset the cost of a veteran attending these important conferences and meetings with legislators.

Veteran Outreach and Comradery

  • We are bringing together veterans, Veteran Service Organizations and other veteran friendly outreach programs. We conduct veteran round tables, social events and educational seminars.
  • Any size donation will help support the running of the charity and these special events we plan throughout the year.
